Welcome to the Lumen Teachers and Technology Grants Application site. Our Teachers and Technology grants are designed to help K-12 schools provide STEM equipment and technology needed to prepare students for our ever-changing digital world. Eligibility: K-12 Classroom teachers in public, private and charter schools in the following states may apply for grants:
- Arizona
- Colorado
- Florida
- Louisiana

- North Carolina
- Oregon
- Texas

Applications should be submitted by the teacher who will be implementing the grant. Multiple teachers from the same school may submit unique grant applications, but no school will be awarded more than two grants. Award Amounts: Lumen will award a total of $1M for the 2025-2026 program with grants ranging from $500 - $5,000. Grants will be presented to the school on behalf of the applicant, and all items purchased will be the property of the school.
Grant funds will pay for:
- Supplies
- Software and hardware
- Professional development
- Project-related activities

Grant funds will not pay for:
- Salaries or stipends
- Substitute teachers
- After-school or summer programs

Timeline:
- Application Period: Nov. 1, 2025 – Jan. 15, 2026
- Awards Announced: All nominees will be notified of grant status by May 1, 2026
- Implementation: Grant funds should be used within one year of being awarded.
Notes for applicants:
- Applications will go through a blind review with reviewers not seeing the name of the applicant, school, city or any other identifying information. Please pay attention to prompts within the application that specify when this information should not be included. If identifying information is included in any of these sections, your application will be disqualified.
- 750 applications will be accepted for this grant cycle.
